Hello from Colin
Hello everybody, and welcome. My name is Colin Bailey and it gives me great pleasure to have the opportunity to present my images here at Loxly Gallery.
Most of my images are of the photographic variety, however you may find a few which have been “digitally enhanced” using various computer software and aided by my trusty graphics tablet.
When the mood takes me, or the weather is unfavourable for photography, you may find me producing computer generated images, a couple of which are represented here at the Loxly Gallery.
By far the largest proportion of my photography however, is of the landscape genre, closely followed by my fascination for the drama provided by historical buildings and locations such as churches and castles. I have recently extended my interest to include subjects representing the colour and history of the English canal system and I hope to have many more images appearing here over time covering all genres.
There is often a story which surrounds the making of a particular image and I hope to present here, not just the images themselves, but where there is a story to be told, I will try to include that also.
So please do bookmark this site and be sure to check back regularly for updates and new images.
Now, since Loxly Gallery is a US based site and I am a UK based photographer I am keen to learn of the genre of images from the UK that are popular with you Americans. I would be most pleased if you would educate me to your tastes in images from England, Wales, and Scotland so that I may provide Loxly Gallery with appropriate images for your enjoyment and satisfaction. Please use the facility here to leave a comment with your thoughts and ideas.
Oh yes, for the more curious amongst you, often I am asked, “are you related to David Bailey, famous photographer and film maker?” Well, the answer to that sadly, is no. (Not that I’m aware of anyhow)
Thank you,
Colin.
